In 2019, I trekked to Mount Everest Base Camp and back. It was one of the hardest and most rewarding experiences of my life.
During my 6+ years at POPSUGAR, I wrote an article about my family’s most beloved holiday tradition, our Christmas Eve Quiz, and the Today show invited us on to talk more about it. You can watch part of the segment here.
I wrote and illustrated a children’s book when I was 16. I loved it and keep meaning to get back into it (and get that one published!).
My all-time favorite movie is Back to the Future. I watch it monthly and will never get tired of it. My bridal shower even had a Back to the Future theme.
I moved to Ireland after college for graduate school. I lived in Galway for 2.5 years and got my master’s in journalism from NUIG.
Ireland is also where I met my now-husband. The first time he ever stepped foot in the U.S. was when I brought him home to meet my parents (they didn’t understand a word he said).
We have two dogs: Dale (a yellow lab) and Oprah (a Chihuahua-Beagle mix). The size (and attitude) difference is comical.
My favorite celebrity interview was Blake Lively.
In 2013, Leonardo DiCaprio looked at me and said hello on The Great Gatsby red carpet and I am still trying to recover.
When it comes to the late ‘90s/early 2000s boy band battle, I’m team BSB.
I’ve lived in Chicago, New York and Ireland. Now I’m happily settled in the suburbs outside of Chicago.
I’ve been told I look like Lauren Conrad. I’ll take it!
My birthday only has one number in it: 8/8/88.
As a native Chicagoan, I’m a loyal Cubs fan. Any other option is wrong.
